STORYLINE:
An Israeli airstrike on central Gaza Strip on Monday killed 11 Palestinians, including women and children, hospital officials said.
An Associated Press journalist saw the bodies the were brought to Al Aqsa Martyrs hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah.
At least four children and three women were killed in this latest attack, when their house in the Nuseirat refugee camp was hit.
The Israeli operation in Gaza has killed more than 38,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s health ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and militants.
Israel launched its campaign in Gaza after Hamas’ October 7 attack in which militants stormed into southern Israel, killed some 1,200 people – mostly civilians – and abducted about 250.
