"What happened is not new, more than once they’ve knocked down buildings here, they threatened before that they would make Nur Shams a second Rafah. Okay, they make it a second Rafah but this will not stop the residents of the camp from continuing their struggle. The issue now is not with the Zionist enemy, it is right that the main enemy is the Zionist enemy, but now what is called the Palestinian Authority has become like the Zionist entity. More than four times the camp has been destroyed, until now no side – Palestinian, Arab, or Islamic – looked at us (for support). "

STORYLINE:
The Israeli army withdrew from Nur Shams refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem on Tuesday following a raid on the area.
Israeli army bulldozers knocked down several buildings in the camp including a shop and some residential homes.
The army said it was conducting counter terrorism operations in the city, but did not elaborate on its operations.
Residents of the camp on Tuesday inspected the damage.
“What happened is not new. More than once they knocked down buildings here, they threatened before that they would make Nur Shams a second Rafah,” said Hussam Abu al-Ajouz, whose shop was destroyed.
The camp has emerged as a major flashpoint and is one of several areas where Palestinian militant groups are openly active.
Israeli forces regularly raid the camp and exchange fire with militant groups, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
The Palestinian Authority, which governs urban pockets of the West Bank, has limited foothold in the north of the territory.
