Shelley Duvall, once one of Hollywood’s rising stars, died in her sleep from complications from diabetes. She was 75. Her long-time boyfriend made the announcement. "My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us," said Dan Gilroy. "Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley.” Duvall’s most famous role was playing Jack Nicholson’s wife in "The Shining." The film turned her into a screen icon. In 2002, Duvall walked away from Hollywood and became a recluse.
