As an American Airlines flight was cleared for takeoff in Florida, a plume of gray smoke trailed the right side of the aircraft. It turned out that the plane’s tire blew out as the aircraft accelerated down the runway. There were 174 passengers and six crew members on board. Aviation blogger Steven Markovich captured the heart-stopping drama at the airport in Tampa. Thankfully, none of the passengers was injured.
