It’s been nearly 25 years since John F. Kennedy, Jr. died in a plane crash. The flight took off from Essex County Airport in New Jersey. Kennedy was piloting the aircraft heading to Martha’s Vineyard for a family wedding. He became disoriented mid-flight and lost control, plunging into the Atlantic Ocean. The crash also killed his wife and her sister Lauren. Maureen Callahan, author of "Ask Not: The Kennedys and the Women They Destroyed," says the flight was fraught with reckless behavior.
