STORYLINE:
China’s Vice President said on Saturday the country will adhere to peaceful diplomatic policies and play a responsible role in promoting the security of all countries and regions.
Han Zheng made the remarks on Saturday at the opening of the World Peace Forum hosted by the prestigious Tsinghua University.
The forum, now in its 12th edition, invites former government officials and academia to discuss international situations.
Officials said topics set to be discussed included Asia-Pacific peace, stability in the Middle East and the China-Japan relationship.
