1. Jordan Bardella walks into press room
2. SOUNDBITE (French) Jordan Bardella, President National Rally:
"By putting the National Rally and its candidates in the lead, by enabling them to go the second round with a crushing majority in constituencies, the French people have created an unprecedented hope across the country. I would like to express my gratitude to them and I am calling on them to remain mobilized in a final effort next Sunday, July 7th. The vote they’ll express next Sunday is one of the most determinant in the history of the fifth republic. If you look at the results, the presidential camp has been largely disavowed today is no longer able to prevail and the far left’s elevated score raises major concerns."

3. SOUNDBITE (French) Jordan Bardella, President National Rally:
"It (the left wing coaltion) proposes openly in its platform disarming the police, opening the valve on immigration, abolish the fight against the squats as well as the fight against Islamist separatism. Henceforth without moral limits, dangerous to institutions and those who think differently then they do, Mr. Melenchon and his friends will bring an existential peril to our nation."

5. SOUNDBITE (French) Jordan Bardella, President National Rally:
"Tonight, I call on every French person attached to their freedom to the remedying of France, to join me and amplify the dynamic and make the national union win against those who want to divide us, damage the public order and flout our values."

STORYLINE:
French far-right leader Jordan Bardella, who could become prime minister if his National Rally wins a majority in the parliamentary elections, called on voters to choose his party.

Bardella spoke shortly after the party’s top figure Marine Le Pen called on voters to give the National Rally an “absolute majority” in parliament.

Polling projections say French voters have propelled the party to a strong lead in Sunday’s first-round legislative elections, ahead of a leftwing coalition that includes center-left, greens and hard-left forces.

“The choice is clear,” Bardella said, accusing the leftwing coalition to campaign for “disarming the police,” “opening the valve on immigration” and criticizing leftist leaders for being against " those who think differently then they do."
