Every year, wild scenes of people having Roman candle fights play out across the U.S. The firecracker is designed to be launched straight into the air. However, social media is filled with videos of people firing at each other. Kansas homeowner Kandie Wakefield says kids were fighting with Roman candles when one shot up to her roof. That’s when her home caught on fire. Although she escaped, the house where she lived for 20 years was destroyed.
