Devastating flooding swamps northeast India and Bangladesh | DW News

Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced by severe flooding in northeastern India and neighbouring Bangladesh.

Several people have died as a result of the floods, with landslides also cutting off roads, while whole villages have been left underwater.

Monsoon rains bring widespread destruction each year but experts say climate change is helping make severe weather conditions more frequent.
