Just carry your son and run, we don’t have anything with us. We just returned, in noon, as you can also see under fire inside, still there are shooting, what do we do? Where to go? I want to understand, tell me where we can go? From al-Mawasi to al-Mawasi to al-Mawasi to Khan Younis to Rafah, where do we go? Tell me, where are we going? Tell us in Arabic where to go? We go to a safe area and we lost our children. We go to a safe area and you lost your luggage. A safe area and there are no hospitals. This is unacceptable. Where do we go? Someone find a solution.”

"We went out under bullets and gunfire at night. Our children were dispersed. We do not know where they are. Where should we go? And we returned on foot, women walking seven kilometers (4.3 miles) on their feet, what will happen to them? and what about children? There is no food, there is no safety, there is no clothing, everything is forbidden to us."

STORYLINE:
More residents of southern Gaza fled Friday after ongoing Israeli operations in the area that divides Rafah and Khan Younis came close to their shelters.
It was the latest evacuation from a region that has weathered an Israeli incursion since early May, forcing nearly all Palestinians sheltering in Rafah to leave.
On Friday, Palestinians packed their belongings into trucks pulled by donkeys and set off in the direction of central Gaza Strip.
They said that they had evacuated their shelters under Israeli gunfire overnight and were returning to grab their belongings before fleeing the city.
"We went out under bullets and gunfire at night. Our children were dispersed. We do not know where they are. Where should we go?" asked Imad Asfour, a displaced Palestinian from east of Khan Younis.
Ghada Qudeh, a displaced Palestinian who took shelter in Rafah after fleeing the southern city of Khan Younis, said that Israeli forces had fired missiles at a house where she and her family were sheltering Thursday.
"We do not know where we can go," she said.
"Since yesterday, we have not found food or drink. We only want a solution."
Mohammad al-Hadad, another displaced Palestinian, wondered where to go.
Palestinians say Israel’s declared safe zone, Muwasi, is a crowded tent camp with very limited access to bathrooms and hospitals.
"Just carry your son and run, we don’t have anything with us," he said.
"From Al-Muwasi to Khan Younis to Rafah, where do we go?"
