A man stabbed a Japanese woman and her child at a bus stop on Tuesday in the eastern Chinese city of Suzhou, a tech center and historic canal city outside Shanghai.
Chinese woman Hu Youping was injured while intervening to stop the assailant from getting on the bus and died on Friday.
