"So, this season as inspiration was about clouds. We don’t have any today. And, I thought it was a good inspiration for winter. And in same time, it’s afact of every day, because every day in the morning, I wake up, and in the evening, at night, go to sleep. And in my bedroom, I have a little window. And I look at the sky with the clouds. And I thought, it can be interesting. So, I began to look for some informations and I read that, in fact, since the antiquity, philosophers were interested by clouds and, for example, Aristotle, who read a book about something. In French, we say ‘un trete’, and after the Middle Age, it what was considered, clouds were considered as the veil of God or something like that. You know, it was not, at this moment, It was not something, scientific. It was very religious."

"We of course we used a lot of tulle because it’s light. So the idea to do very light things. And the clouds, you can see in the shapes. But you can see in the same time, with motifs. Sometimes it’s inspired from a little bit far away. You have to think about it more. And very often it’s evident."

STORYLINE:
Franck Sorbier’s latest collection was displayed in a Parisian courtyard, complete with balloons and horses, on Wednesday.

The designer said the inspiration behind the collection was clouds – and that manifested in the fabric of tulle (a cloud-like material) being heavily featured.

Models stood statuesque throughout the courtyard. The pinnacle outfit was in white tulle, complete with sleeves and a high neck. The model stood alongside a white horse.

Sorbier said he was inspired to create the show after looking through his window throughout the seasons, adding that clouds were once thought of as "the veil of God."

The palette ranged from pastel colors to blacks, greys, and sparkling fabrics
