"I lived in New York in 2020, so, it went pretty darn quiet. And it was very spooky to have a New York that was emptied of people. I remember looking out my window and not seeing a single human being on the roads. No cars… And when I read this script, you know, I had the imagination for it because I kind of lived through a moment like that. And then you just add the extra danger of, like, sound being the enemy. Sound being the thing that gets you into the most trouble. And, yeah, it’s just heightened. It’s – it’s heightened. But I think also that the pandemic was a time where globally we were faced with our mortality in a very, very immediate fashion. And, that I think makes this film resonate easily, because of that."
