STORYLINE:
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to the Elysee Palace in Paris on Wednesday for a working lunch.
Their talks come amid the ongoing fallout from the recent European elections and ongoing negotiations between EU leaders to determine the candidates for the bloc’s top jobs.
Starting July 1, Hungary will take over the six-month rotating presidency of the European Council.
