Relatives of a 13-year-old boy who was shot and killed by police in upstate New York were on Sunday planning to press local officials for accountability.
The state attorney general is investigating the shooting of Nyah Mway, who was shot by Utica police after they tackled him to the ground following a foot chase on Friday.
Late on Saturday, police released body camera video that showed an officer fatally shooting the boy who had been tackled to the ground after he ran from police and pointed a replica handgun at them.
The teen was killed a little after 10 p.m. Friday in Utica after officers in the city about 240 miles (400 kilometers) northwest of Manhattan stopped two youths in connection with an armed robbery investigation, police said.
