"The classroom that was destroyed by the Jews (IDF) had 25 people inside it. We took them to Nasr Hospital and all we had was 10 minutes so we did not take anything with us as we said we will go for five minutes and return. I came back and found that my classroom was struck, as well as the bombed house. Here you can see the destruction. There are no mattresses, no dishes, no baby formula and no diapers, as well as no clothes. We have nothing. I have returned to zero along with my children."

STORYLINE:
Displaced people in the Khan Younis area of the Gaza Strip were clearing debris in a UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) school, which they use for shelter, on Friday after it was damaged following Israeli airstrikes.
The strike on Thursday also destroyed a house nearby.
Palestinians living in the area said Israel warned them and the area was evacuated ahead of the bombing. No fatalities were reported.
In a statement the Israeli army said it struck “a launch site placed by the Islamic Jihad inside a shelter in the humanitarian area in Khan Younis” and that it took measures “to mitigate harm to uninvolved civilians.”
The army said it continues its operation in Rafah and other areas of Gaza Strip.
Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza has killed more than 37,400 people, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which does not distinguish between combatants and civilians in its count.
The war erupted after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, in which militants stormed into southern Israel, killed some 1,200 people – mostly civilians – and abducted about 250.
