STORYLINE:
The German city of Leipzig was crowded with Netherlands and France football fans on Friday afternoon ahead of the two countries’ Euro 2024 clash.

France and the Netherlands are level on three points in Group D. The Dutch came from behind to beat Poland 2-1 and France needed an own goal to beat Austria.

Kylian Mbappé will play in a mask after breaking his nose in France’s opening 1-0 win over Austria on Monday.

His face collided with Austria defender Kevin Danso’s shoulder as he was trying to head the ball. Blood stained his white France jersey.

The France forward scored two and set up another goal as Les Bleus routed the Netherlands 4-0 at home in qualifying, then scored both goals as France defeated Ronald Koeman’s team 2-1 in Amsterdam. The Dutch were group runners-up.
