Baseball great Willie Mays has died. Mays was often considered the best all-around player in the history of the sport. In his extraordinary 22-year baseball career, Mays hit 660 home runs and had 2,062 runs scored. Among numerous career achievements, Mays was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979 and was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, in 2015. Willie Mays was 93 years old.
