STORYLINE:
Several days of rain made some streets impassable in South Florida by Wednesday, forcing drivers to turn back and find alternative routes.
Flash flood warnings were issued for various areas in Miami-Dade, Broward and Collier counties through Wednesday afternoon.
Some areas saw rainfall of 5-6 inches, with more projected through the weekend.
