South Korean born giant panda Fu Bao appeared to Chinese media on Wednesday for the first time since entering the country. Her appearance followed a two-month quarantine and health inspection. Fu Bao was seen crawling out of a house into a wider area of the enclosure and eating carrot and bamboo shoots in the giant panda base of Wolong National Nature Reserve in southwestern China’s Sichuan Province. A major attraction at the Everland theme park near Seoul, Fu Bao, born in July 2020, was the first cub of panda Ai Bao and Le Bao, who arrived in South Korea in 2016 on a 15-year lease program.
