2. SOUNDBITE (English) Ray Tierney, Suffolk County District Attorney:
"Heuermann had a significant collection of violent bondage and torture pornography, which was  dating back to 1994. And that material was very similar to the condition that the two latest victims were left in. In addition to that, it is alleged that the pornographic images that were accessed by Heuermann are consistent, with the crime scenes of both Sandra Costilla and Jessica Taylor."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Ray Tierney, Suffolk County District Attorney:
"The task force believes that this is a planning document and it was utilized by Heuermann to methodically blueprint and plan out his kills with excruciating detail. We allege that this document evinces the defendant’s intent in committing the charged crimes"

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Michael Brown, attorney for Rex Heuermann:
"He’s obviously horrified by new charges, new murder allegations. We didn’t have much of a conversation, but new charges are always horrific and yeah, he’s in a bad place in terms of the new charges."
STORYLINE:
Prosecutors say the man charged in the Gilgo Beach serial killings on Long Island, New York, kept a document he used to “blueprint” his crimes.

Prosecutors say in a court filing Thursday that investigators discovered a “planning document” on the hard drive found in Rex Heuermann’s basement that they believe he used to “methodically blueprint” his killings.

They say the document includes Heuermann’s concerns about leaving behind forensic evidence, guidance for cleaning and washing bodies, and notes on how to improve “next time,” according to the bail application.

Heuermann appeared at a hearing Thursday and pleaded not guilty to charges alleging that he killed Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla. He was previously charged in the killings of four other women.
