You may have heard of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It’s a floating collection of plastic and other waste between California and Hawaii. For most of us, it’s out of sight, out of mind, but not for environmentalists, or one nonprofit group in particular that is working to do something about the issue. The Ocean Cleanup has developed technology to remove a lot of garbage from the ocean at once, without harming the things that live in the ocean. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
