“NATO. The summit is coming. We had a really open discussions, and our position is clear that Ukraine rightful place is in NATO in real life. And Ukraine can not only be a full member of NATO because we are supporting NATO, but we need Ukraine in NATO. It is because in our region we have more and more threats. Russia will remain a threat for Europe as well. And Ukraine experience and power as well is needed to NATO. It’s needed to us as well. So I do hope that this meeting in NATO will further steps, on this path of Ukraine to NATO.”

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia:
“Estonia has decided that we are going to sign now a bilateral agreement pretty soon between Estonia and Ukraine, and amongst all the other topics about accountability and cooperation, we have been fixing that 0.25% of our GDP is going to guarantee within the next years, per year. It’s a pure military support. If everybody do that it will be all together 120 billion euros per year of military support, and it will be enough for Ukraine to push Russia back and win the war. But the cool thing is that there is more and more understanding that GDP is important. It’s a honest figure, and this understanding is there, that it helps us as well to share the burden between each other.“

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia:
“The G7 meeting will come as well. So it is important that the U.S. has decided: the part of this 61 billion Ukraine package is guaranteed by the Russian frozen assets, and what we do hope that the G7 will have the political decision that we can actually use the frozen assets of Russia, not only profits and as guarantees for the loans to Ukraine, and it means as well that frozen assets will be frozen as long as Russia is going to compensate damages, what they have made during this aggression and this will be a very big political change about financing Ukraine and supporting Ukraine.”

10. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine:
“The subversive actions are systematic and unprecedentedly large-scale, which once again confirms that we are doing everything right, we are on the right path, and we, together with our partners, will set a precedent when a peace summit is convened not on the terms of the attacking country or on the terms of the mediating country, but on the terms of the United Nations Charter.“
