STORYLINE:
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The two leaders had official talks after a welcoming ceremony, and witnessed the signing of agreements on cooperation between the two countries, involving areas of Belt-and-Road initiative, science and technology, trade and investment.
El-Sissi is also attending the opening session of the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, scheduled for Thursday, alongside Xi and leaders from Bahrain, the UAE, Tunisia, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
