Mixed feelings in Mexico as two women vie for country’s presidency

As two female candidates lead Mexico’s presidential race, the question is "are Mexicans ready for a woman president?"

In the race, Mexicans will have to choose between three candidates. Two women have taken the lead, the ruling party’s Claudia Sheinbaum, and the opposition candidate Xóchitl Gálvez.

In all likelihood, Mexico — a country with historical levels of violence against women — will be governed by a woman for the first time. (AP video shot by Martín Silva Rey)
