U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland, along with Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, and Acting Associate Attorney General Benjamin C. Mizer, visited the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on Monday at the start of National Police Week.
Organizers of the National Police Week say in previous years between 25,000 and 40,000 visitors attended events in Washington, D.C., to honor and remember officers who died in the line of duty.
