“You know, when it comes down to women’s sports, you know what I’m saying? A lot of people really don’t really pay too much attention or give women’s sports that much respect. Number one, you know what I’m saying? The whole nine, you know. And one thing about me, I know what it feels like to want to see a dream come true. I know what it feels like to want to achieve a goal. You know what I’m saying? And I’m the type of person that, you know, if I see you’re trying then I’m going to do whatever I can to help you. You know what I’m saying? The whole nine. These girls are, man, these girls are really trying hard. You know what I’m saying? They’re out there in that water busting their ass. You know what I’m saying? The whole nine. Water polo sports may not be big right now. You know what I’m saying? But doing stuff like this, you know what I’m saying? Like Maggie (Steffens) said, she wants to help grow the sport. You know what I’m saying? And I would love to see the sport grow. You know what I’m saying? So I know what it feels like to want to have a chance. You know what I’m saying? So that’s the reason why I stepped up and said, ‘you know what? I’m going to help these girls out. I want to help these girls out.’ You know what I’m saying? Because they’re really trying hard. And not only that, but they’re good, you know? And I don’t want to see all of that great, great talent just go down the drain with the water in the pool, later for that, you know what I’m saying? So I just wanted to just, you know, just give back.”

Now I’ve got a reason, you know what I’m saying? And when I come out and I watch this water polo team, the water polo team, USA USA. I’m going to be the biggest hype man that they ever had in their life. I’m a be bigger than any cheerleader that they had in their life. I’m going cheer this team on and I’m going to cheer this team into winning a gold medal.”
