STORYLINE:
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with President Bernardo Arévalo Tuesday in Guatemala City.

Blinken is on a two-day visit to the country where he is also participating in a regional meeting on irregular migration.

During his meeting with Arévalo, Blinken reiterated their efforts in addressing security and migration.

"Together, Guatemala and the United States are really key partners in building a hemisphere that is genuinely secure, full of opportunity in which all of its citizens are treated with dignity," Blinken said.
