STORYLINE:
AFRICAN CLIMATE-TECH STARTUPS ARE INCREASINGLY RAISING MONEY FROM LOCAL AND FOREIGN VENTURE CAPITAL AND PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS.

BUT WHILE INVESTMENT IS GROWING, A HUGE GAP REMAINS IN FULLY FUNDING AFRICA’S CLIMATE GOALS, WHICH WOULD REQUIRE NEARLY 300 BILLION DOLLARS ANNUALLY.
EXPERTS SAY THERE IS STILL A LONG WAY TO GO. TO UNLOCK FINANCING, AFRICAN COUNTRIES NEED TO ADDRESS RISKS SUCH AS CURRENCY INSTABILITY, AND LOOK INTO DIVERSIFYING FUNDING METHODS.
