STORYLINE:
Dozens of pro-Palestinian students and teachers at The University of Sydney demonstrated against Israel’s war with Gaza on Wednesday.
The protesters in Australia set up tents at the university, marched across campus carrying banners and Palestinian flags, and shouting pro-Palestinian slogans.
No arrests were reported.
The war began after Hamas’ deadly attack on southern Israel, when militants killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and took roughly 250 hostages.
Israel has killed more than 34,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to the local health ministry.
