STORYLINE:
Mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil in Sydney on Sunday in tribute to the victims of a recent stabbing attack at a shopping mall.
A choir performance was planned and among the honorary guests is Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who will give an address followed by a minute’s silence.
On April 13, an assailant stabbed six people to death and wounded more than a dozen others at the Westfield shopping mall at Bondi Junction in Sydney, in an attack that police believe targeted women.
The assailant, Joel Cauchi, was shot and killed by a police officer during his knife attack in the mall.
