US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met China’s top diplomat Wang Yi in Beijing on Friday. The Chinese foreign minister said that ties between the two countries were "beginning to stabilize" but also warned that "negative factors" could threaten relations. Blinken stressed the importance of dialogue, saying that both the US and China should make sure "we’re as clear as possible about the areas where we have differences, at the very least to avoid misunderstandings."
