STORYLINE:
Award nominees walked the red carpet ahead of the 46th Moscow International FiIm Festival on Friday evening.
More than 240 films from 56 countries will be featured at the festival, MIFF President Nikita Mikhalkov told reporters on Friday.
The festival jury is chaired by Icelandic film director Fridrik Thor Fridriksson.
The BRICS Film Festival – which is hosted by the rotating presidency of the BRICS countries each year – is part of the 46th Moscow International Film Festival.
Its screening programme includes eight films – from Russia, India, China, Brazil, Iran, South Africa and Egypt.
Over 70 Western films will be screened at the Moscow International FiIm Festival.
The festival runs until the 26th April.
