STORYLINE:
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken bought himself an ice cream on Thursday after a long day of talks with other Group of Seven ministers on the Italian resort island of Capri.
On the second day of their three-day summit, the ministers agreed that they will continue working closely in dealing with the situation in the Middle East, where tensions have mounted in the wake of Iran’s recent attack on Israel.
As the top diplomats met, the United States and Britain announced additional sanctions on Iran, targeting entities and individuals involved in its drone and missile industries.
