1. SOUNDBITE (English) Jon Bon Jovi, recording artist – on the band’s upcoming album, “Forever”:
“Well, it’s a joyous record. It’s, it really is an album full of joy. ‘Legendary’ is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s probably the best record we’ve made in 20 years.”
(Reporter: “And how is the voice holding up? Because we’ve all got our fingers crossed for your vocal cords.”)
“Thank you very much. You know, the film depicts something that has been going on for a year and two years. So I’m well on the road to recovery. Not quite exactly where I want it yet, but that bar’s very high.”
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Tico Torres and David Bryan, recording artists:
Torres: “Well, it’s exciting to be able to do a new record and we’re very proud of it. And it has the remanence of what we felt like when we did ‘Slippery’ (When Wet, 1986). It’s got a positive message. It was a joyful, fun record to do. We’re really proud of it."
(Reporter: “And obviously we’ve all got our fingers crossed for Jon’s vocals.”)
Bryan: “He’s going to be fine.”
Torres: “He sang great. And, you know, he’s been operated on and went through a major thing. And he’s been rehabbing for a year and a half now. So he’s doing quite well.”
Bryan: “And we’ve been rehearsing a lot. And he’s singing his ass – I mean, he sings his ass off on the record. He’ll be fine."
