Depp: "It was it was a perfect synchronicity, it really was. Maïwenn, when I was informed of the project and the script and everything, and then I read the screenplay and I thought, ‘wow, this is really beautiful and interesting.’ And because anything you’re going to do as an actor or whatever or as a director, I suppose you’re looking at, here’s the material. What do I personally mean? What do I have that I believe I can add to this to give it a little different flavor here or there or whatever so."
Maïwenn: "But when we met, you hadn’t read the script yet and we met at 3 p.m. until midnight. We talked about everything except cinema."
