President Trump has floated the idea that this autumn’s presidential election should be delayed, saying that problems with postal ballots mean it will not be fair.
But he does not have the power to make it happen, and the Democrats and some Republicans have rejected the idea out of hand.
Meanwhile, the US economy has shrunk by a third in the last quarter.
