4. SOUNDBITE (English) Kobi Halperin, designer – on the collection:
"For me, I love the idea of like the dancing and also the costume that was have been done this period of time, which was very glamorous. It’s always the use of feathers and the fringe but also being comfortable. So I really use for the collection, jersey and comfortable fabrics but also mostly focusing on the shape that allowing the movement. I think it’s about really kind of like creating this glamour look. But as I mentioned before, being comfortable and allowing the movement to happen. I really love to think about design as 360, and that’s kind of like where I felt the dancing part and fashion design really kind of like connect to me, because I always feel there’s not back and front, there’s 360 and when I love the most is actually seeing clothes and movement and see the relationship between the models, the body, the woman and the movement. And that’s why I kind of like when the clothes are very relaxed on the body and not too tight. Because I think that’s kind of like where it’s allowing this amazing, magical moment when this fabric is starting to flow and it’s just adding another element, which, for me, it’s the most exciting thing."

9. SOUNDBITE (English) Kobi Halperin, designer – on challenging himself:
"I think that in our industry we cannot be too comfortable. So we must evolve and we must rethink and we must challenge ourselves. And for me, it’s about like, you know, it’s about being sensitive to the people around you. Again, as a male designer, I always keep reminding myself that I am just there to bring the beauty of the woman that I designed for. And if I’m not going to… first of all, you need to love her. And to be honest, in fashion, there’s many designers that can make their customers feel unloved. For me, it’s all about loyalty. It’s all about giving her the love. And also celebrate many different type of women. So for me, it’s not about age. It’s not about the size of your body. It’s about the aesthetic. It’s about the attitude. And I think that our customers feel the love and feel the respect. And this is the one thing that it’s consistent from one collection to another. You never want to shock her. You always want her to kind of like, know what to expect. But in the same times, with the storytelling and the inspiration and the – something in the collection is always going to be different and new and surprising. But you need to stay true to the brand and what the brand standing for. As I mentioned in the beginning, we must rethink, you know, what is required of that. And I think that I actually am thankful for the fact that you can never be too comfortable. You always need to challenge yourself. I think it’s really bringing the creativity to where it should be."
