Sara Duterte spoke outside the court, telling reporters she expected the ICC to "give us permission" to visit her father and hoped the court would "allow our request to move the initial appearance." The 79-year-old Duterte, the first Asian former leader arrested on an ICC warrant, will be read his rights and formally informed of the crimes against humanity charge that the court’s prosecutors filed against him after a lengthy investigation.
