And what a special treat that we all got to see that, either at home or in the room. And I’m so proud of them. It was one of the great award show moments to me."

I think everybody works really hard. And, you know, I was just, I’m just happy to see people win. You know, Cynthia’s my sister. So, you know, it’s that sister love like, ‘Why my girl ain’t?’, you know what I’m saying? "It means that we’re telling stories about real people. You know, the everyman, everywoman, people who are doing jobs maybe they don’t want to do. People who have lives that are unsatisfying, but they have to survive. This is a lot of us in America, and so we’re telling the truth about who we are in an independent way. Look, ‘Anora,’ $6 million, ‘Brutalist’ $10 million. Really great stories done in the independent fashion that people are really identifying with and enjoying."

"Brady worked so hard on the film, you know, he wrote it and and spent so many years putting it together and without any compromise, people were trying to make him make it shorter and all this stuff, and he was just trying to make his work and he made it. And it’s really beautiful. And I worked really hard on it with lots of musicians that I love. So the process was very special and then the mix was so long and stuff, so the fact that people want to watch it and they’re enjoying it and stuff is like, is really, for this project, it feels really nice, you know?"
