"I’m on a farm in a remote village in South Sudan in western Equatoria state where farmers are planting Excelsa coffee. This is a heat and drought resistant coffee, it’s native to South Sudan, and experts are saying that this could be a game changer on the global stage amid spiking coffee prices, some of the highest in history, and typical coffee producing countries like Brazil struggling because of climate change. So you can see behind me this is the tree. Now it’s just rained, but it’s usually extremely hot here, 30 to 40 °C, and the trees can withstand that."
