(5 Dec 2002)
Tape One – 4 mins approx
1. Sit down interview with Robert De Niro. Including soundbites:
"When the movie did so well I was thinking ‘let’s do a sequel’. And Harold and Billy were less inclined to do it in the beginning. And then we got writers and we got pictures from different writers and got some funny stuff blah, blah, blah. And we just kept going. Then finally Harold said let me take a shot at it because I kept saying let’s just do it."
"The car salesman scene. I thought that was kind of funny because I had no idea, I thought maybe that was going to be too much or whatever. But I saw it afterwards and I thought it was funny."
Tape Two – 3 mins approx
1. Sit down interview with Billy Crystal. Including soundbites:
"We just click, we just do. If you had said to me five years ago you know you and Bob De Niro are going to be this really great funny comedy team I would have said ‘what, him?’ But I always felt he was funny. I always felt that even in the darkest movies that there was humour there. And that is why I was part of pushing him into doing the first movie and believe me, trust me, and that kind of thing, and you will be great in this, people want to see you doing this kind of thing and you have got to wink at yourself a little bit, they will go nuts. I was like a pit bull for two years."
"I think that part of it is that your relationship is so honest and our rhythms are great. And we are an unlikely pair to some people, and yet it is refreshing. They like to see that he hurts me and yells at me. And they like that I slap him back. It is a funny relationship. "
Tape Three – 3 mins approx
1. Sit down interview with Lisa Kudrow. Including soundbite:
"More than the role I just liked that I get to work with and watch them, Billy Crystal and Robert De Niro you know. That is what was exciting."
Tape Four – 4 mins approx
1. Sit down interview with Harold Ramis, director. Including soundbite:
"We just took the first movie for real and I loved the second Godfather film because it is an extension of the first one, they didn’t just plop the characters down in some other place. So the same thing. I wanted to continue to tell the same story, and it kind of fits in with therapy because in therapy you don’t just okay now I’ve solved those problems with my parents I am onto something new, no, you deal the rest of your life with the same issues."
Tape Five – 3 mins approx – ARCHIVE #48 (NOT AVAILABLE)
1. Sit down interview with Cathy Moriarty-Gentile. Including soundbites:
Tape Six – 3 mins approx – ARCHIVE #48 (NOT AVAILABLE)
1. Sit down interview with Billy Crystal. Camera B – journalist
