STORYLINE:
Thousands of fans flocked to Bogota’s stadium on Wednesday to see Colombia’s top diva, Shakira, who resumed her world tour after being hospitalized in Lima.
This is the first of the eagerly anticipated series of two concerts in the capital of her homeland, Colombia, and Shakira’s first world tour in seven years, "Women Don’t Cry Anymore"
Almost two weeks ago she cancelled the first of her two shows in Peru, saying on social media platform X that she had been hospitalized due to an abdominal condition.
The Colombian superstar kicked off her world tour earlier in February with concerts in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
After performing in Colombia Shakira has concerts scheduled in Chile, Mexico, Argentina and more than a dozen U.S. cities, including Tampa, Houston, Detroit, Boston, New York and San Francisco.
