STORYLINE:
A bus believed to be carrying dozens of released Palestinian prisoners left Israel’s Ofer prison in the early hours of Thursday.
The bus left the prison gates in convoy with several other vehicles, headed to the West Bank city of Beitunia.
At around the same time an Israeli security official said early Thursday that Hamas has handed to the Red Cross the bodies of 4 Israelis who were held hostage in Gaza.
Israel had delayed the agreed-upon prisoner release, which threatened to collapse the ceasefire in Gaza.
The current six-week first phase of the ceasefire expires this weekend.
