Ukraine has welcomed a vote by US lawmakers to resume urgently needed military assistance. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the 61 billion dollar aid package gives his troops a real chance at victory on the battlefield.
Part of what Zelenskyy will use these American funds for, is fortifying Ukraine’s borders. Drone technology has dramatically changed the battle for the skies and sea but on Ukraine’s land border with Russia, the country’s armed forces are focused on a far more traditional form of defense against a looming Russian offensive.
