FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE DEVASTATING CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES IN JANUARY MEMBERS OF THE MASJID AL-TAQWA, A MOSQUE IN ALTADENA THAT WAS GUTTED IN THE EATON FIRE, GATHERED TOGETHER FOR PRAYER, A MEAL, AND SUPPORT.
IN MORE THAN FOUR DECADES, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS TIGHT-KNIT, DIVERSE MUSLIM COMMUNITY FINDS ITSELF WITHOUT A PLACE TO GATHER, PRAY AND BREAK THEIR FAST DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN, WHICH IS LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY.
