"Many people are dying (due to the low pensions), and since I am a doctor, I tell you: this (economic) plan is going to kill more people than the pandemic itself, and this comes from someone who has worked in pandemics since the 1980s."

STORYLINE:
Manifestantes se enfrentaron a la policía cuando intentaban marchar alrededor del Congreso argentino el miércoles para reclamar pensiones más altas y protestar contra las medidas de austeridad implementadas por el presidente de Argentina, Javier Milei.
Los manifestantes, entre ellos pensionistas y simpatizantes de partidos de la oposición, han realizado pequeñas marchas todos los miércoles para protestar por sus escasas pensiones y sus reducidos planes de salud.
La marcha también protestaba el papel del presidente en una estafa por 4.000 millones de dólares, luego de que éste recomendó la criptomoneda $LIBRA, que quintuplicó su valor a los minutos de promocionarla en su cuenta de X —antes Twitter— y unas cinco horas después se desplomó.
Milei sostiene que actuó de buena fe y que quienes invirtieron su dinero sabían de antemano que era una operación con riesgo.
