STORYLINE:
Witnesses and journalists said an explosion was heard in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.
Immediately after, a white truck was seen rushing to meet with ambulances, and a least one body was transferred from the truck to the ambulances, which then left to the European Hospital, the medical unit confirmed.
Shortly after, dozens of trucks carrying aid and supplies were seen moving into Gaza.
In a statement the Israeli army said that "several armed individuals” moved near the troops in Southern Gaza and "were struck by an IAF aircraft."
It comes on the day after Israel and Hamas completed the sixth exchange of hostages and Palestinian prisoners on Saturday with just over two weeks remaining in their fragile Gaza ceasefire’s initial phase.
