Thousands forced to flee in DRC as M23 rebels make advances | DW News

As the M23 rebel advance pushes on in DRC’s Southern Kivu Province, thousands are forced to flee. Many displaced are seeking refuge in neighboring Burundi, where capacities are stretched thin after years of conflict. According to the UN, successive waves of violence have displaced 4.6 million people in the North and South Kivu Province since 2022.
