How families in Syria are still searching for missing children | BBC News

Two months after the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, families are still searching for their missing loved ones.

Human rights organisations estimate more than 100,000 Syrians have disappeared since the uprising began in 2011.

It is estimated that more than 3,000 children are among the missing.

The BBC found evidence that some children who were detained with their families were transferred to orphanages by the regime.
